Hello PALL Families,
We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy as we continue to deal with the impact COVID-19. This pandemic has affected our entire community in ways that no one has ever anticipated.
We would like to announce that the Spring 2021 Registration is now open! Please click here to register.
The registration fee for the 2021 season is $100 and there will be a sibling discount of $25. Please contact us at president@pallball.org if you are in need of financial assistance to play baseball this season. PALL is here to support the community in getting kids playing baseball.
Over the past few months the PALL Board has been exploring different options with guidance from the California Department of Public Health. We believe we can get kids back on the field safely in 2021. Baseball is going to look different this year so we ask for your support and help to ensure this is a safe and fun season for the kids.
Due to the uncertainty of what Spring 2021 will be like during this pandemic, we have outlined below potential variations for the season:
- If games are permitted, we will play baseball as usual and the league will run as we have in recent years.
- If games are not allowed, we will practice as teams in bubbles/cohorts, following all safety protocols provided by California Department of Public Health, San Mateo County and Little League of America.
In both scenarios we will still be having tryouts for our Majors, Minors and PCL divisions. Tryouts will be on Sunday, January 24th and Saturday, January 30th. Specific times and protocols for tryouts will be released at a later date. We anticipate practices starting in the middle of February.
The PALL board has finalized a detailed COVID-19 action plan that we will be submitted to the Pacifica Parks Beaches and Recreation Department, Pacifica School District and San Mateo County to allow us to play baseball in 2021. Some aspects of the plan will include mandatory face coverings, temperature checks, fan limits, equipment cleaning protocol and social distancing protocols. We anticipate the plan being approved later this month. Should you want to review the plan yourself, once it is approved, it will be posted on our website.
Over the next few weeks we will give periodic updates as we receive updates from San Mateo County and District 52 Little League. The Spring 2021 PALL baseball season is going to look different and our main goal is to get kids back on the field following Health and Safety protocols. As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves over the season we will modify play as needed.
Please email president@pallball.org with any additional questions.
Thank you for your continued support,
Tim Barry, PALL President and the PALL Board
